Actress Eugenia Tobal is reportedly set to officially join Channel 9 after a brief, but acclaimed, run on Telefe's 'MasterChef Celebrity'. According to the Argentine News Agency, Tobal is set to be the face of a cooking show, maintaining the same format as her last project. Weeks ago, journalist Juan Etchegoyen had revealed that the actress was in advanced negotiations with the production company Kuarzo. As reported by the X (formerly Twitter) account @Teleavisador, the former 'MasterChef' contestant has signed a contract with Channel 9 to become the new host of 'Cooking School', the show previously led by chef Jimena Monteverde. It is still unknown who the chefs accompanying Tobal will be, as the majority of the cast will follow Monteverde to her new channel. So far, the only confirmed chef is Roberto Ottini, who was one of the few who stayed with the channel. It was also indicated that her first appearance would be next Monday, January 12. In this way, Channel 9 seeks to fill the gap in its programming grid following Jimena Monteverde's recent move to El Trece.
